This play depicts the amazing true story of Mishka Ziberstein who as a youth was forced to leave his family, escape from the ghetto and hide in the woods. There deep in the forest a special friendship is woven between him and a wolf. This wolf teaches Mishke how to connect to nature, and together they embark on a journey of survival.
The production is ground-breaking -a fantasy adventure blending dance music video art into a breathtaking emotional experience.
The production premiered at the Haifa International Theatre Festival where it garnered 5 important prizes: Best Production/Best Direction/Best Choreography/Best Video Art and Best Actor.
"A play that inspires hope about the nature of life, humaneness and friendship" - Haaretz
"The hottest show of the year"- Walla
"The show takes the viewer on a deep emotional journey, all the elements of the show coalesce into a unique and exciting work"- Ice
"The most amazing story of friendship at the festival can be seen in the play 'The Good Wolf,' it balances a fine line between the real and the imaginary and receives an
exciting illustration through the impressive movement performed by Gal Nissim and Michael Peled. A tense drama of survival" - Ynet
"A production brimming with imagination and aspirations, combining fantastic visual elements that ignite all the senses.
The inspiring direction manages to skillfully create a world that blurs the border between reality and imagination, combining beautiful movement with very impressive visual tools. The wonderful video art together with the set design, transform the stage into a real forest. The special lighting adds a special garnet touch, colors the stage, and manages to illustrate the flashes of Mishka's memories, with the figure of the father shining from time to time out of the darkness.
The beautiful music captures the atmosphere and situations while enhancing them.
The play of the 3 actors are all convincing and riveting, while the beautiful movement of Michael Peled ("The Wolf") is simply mesmerizing and awe-inspiring.
Alone in the world, when trust in human trust has vanished, Mishka dreams that one day the smoke of the cannons will disappear and humanity will return to its important values"
