The play recounts two journeys simultaneously. The first, the inner world of Amos, an Israeli boy on the brink of Bar Mitzvah, full of confusion and hostility. The second is the journey of his grandfather, also nearing Bar Mitzvah, during the time of the Holocaust, seeking refuge and striving to survive. The story of the grandfather and his love for his grandson comforts Amos and helps him to mature. This production has been presented over 2000 times in the past 18 years to families throughout Israeland toured throughout North America on three different occasions
My eyes well with tears and my heart is full with love and gratitude. When you experience a play such as this you realise how realism can be more moving than fantasy and imagination. This play has a magic and power rarely encountered. From the stage we felt the pain and tormented love of mother, son and grandfather. It was magnificent, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
This very special and moving production rewarded an emotional experience to both students and parents.
The beautiful blending of great drama with gifted actors happens rarely. Tears mingled with my smiles and laughter and the deep and complex messages penetrated the soul, riveting and joining the entire audience”. The Teaching Staff of Dekel

Tension is released as tears turn to laughter...“Miracles and Tragedies” is so alive that it is more than a play... It's message builds bridges between the generations.
