Music by Ron Wiseman
A treasure from the Yiddish literature "Gimpel the Fool" blends klezmer music into a surrealistic theatrical presentation. In the face of betrayal and ridicule, Gimpel's childlike acceptance and steadfast belief in God and human goodness has inspired audiences throughout the world.
The production premiered at the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival and has toured to Austria, Armenia, the Czech republic, Egypt, England, and throughout Poland Russia, the United States and Canada. In May 2013 it won the Grand Prize at the Macedonia International MonoDrama Festival.
